High Volume Scanning
At Litgistix, we provide the personalized service and a powerful
suite of software tools and scanning equipment that allows us to offer a full
range of capabilities and the flexibility to meet our customers' varying scanning
and imaging needs. With 12 different scanning devices and an output capacity of
10,000 black & white images per hour, in addition to full color imaging, we can
handle any size project.
Also, with 2 large format scanners that can scan documents up to 36” wide in
black & white or color, we can scan oversize maps, well logs, and engineering
drawings as well.
We use the powerful and flexible LAW PreDiscovery scanning software suite from
LexisNexis. The software is designed for high volume production
scanning with specific functionality to meet special litigation imaging
requirements and create load files for almost all popular litigation software
programs available.
We scan and convert to and from a multitude of formats including: TIFF, Adobe
PDF, JPEG, PNG, PCX, TXT, etc.
E-Bates Numbering
We can apply electronic pagination and Bates numbering with custom prefixes and suffixes
to your documents, and endorse documents with headers/footers such as “Confidential” stamps
as well.
OCR and OWR
Applying
OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to your documents converts your images to
allow full text searching in either TIFF or Adobe PDF format. Our OCR engines
run at speeds that surpass other service bureaus. Add color-text hit
highlighting using our on-line review tool, ImageDepot, to leverage greater viewing and searching capabilities.
OWR (Optical Word Recognition) patented by iArchives even enhances accuracy of
full text searching further than OCR. OWR uses three OCR passes in addition to
word and name recognition and compares the results with its dictionary.
Document Coding
Litgistix offers several coding and indexing solutions depending on your
requirements including in-house coding and lower cost off-shore coding
alternatives with our outsourcing partners. We can manually code or
electronically capture simple bibliographic data, subjective details, and
keyword information. We offer capture or input of simple
file folder indexing to bibliographic, subjective and keyword coding. Fields
such as Date, Author, Document Type, Recipients, etc. can be coded from scanned
images and exported for loading into various litigation databases used for reviewing
and searching.
Blowback Copy Sets
If paper discovery or production is your preference, we provide high-speed
prints of your images. Document breaks to match the original images and we can
add color
slip sheets with printed information such as document name, Bates number range, or
other document or coded information.
Load File Creation
We bring you seamless integration of all your document images and OCR text by
providing load files for popular litigation software
such as Summation, Concordance, Caselogistix, Casemap, TrialDirector, Sanction,
Verdical, IPRO, Doculex and others. Each load file is quality inspected before delivery.
We can also create or convert different formats and load files from CD/DVDs you
receive from other parties into a common and usable format or load file that you
need.
Viewing/Distribution
Scanned images are furnished back to you on either CD/DVD media or on a
furnished, external hard-drive. A CD can hold up to approximately 10,000-15,000
images, whereas a data DVD can contain up to 300,000 images, depending on the
image size, the scanning resolution and whether the images are grayscale or color.
